Had a visitor.....

Some visitors are very unwelcome...specially the green buggy variety. How this one made it past me into the house is beyond me...who could miss it??! REALLY?!

A big ugly cicada...bleck! I have nightmares of that thing crawling on me as I'm sleeping!

On to a brighter note :) One of my favorite things is wildlife photography. We have a large pond and a small pond with many frogs and other critters visiting (hopefully no more cats )
Couldn't resist taking a few today since it was so pretty out. This first one is our small pond and one of the boy frogs hanging out in a morning glory vine.

This is a peach water lily in the large pond in full, glorious bloom. They seem to be taking over the pond this year, so I guess it's time to thin them out alittle...

One of our resident dragonflies at the big pond. They hang out all day,lay eggs in the water and new come out next year....

Lastly for the bulldog junkies :) and you now who you are...

Those are so great photos, love that little frog. My dog chases dragonflies around our yard, good thing they fly higher than she can jump!!

I would have had a heart attack had I found that cicada in my house! I don't do bugs!

I remember when the seventeen year cicadas came out here a few years ago and they sounded like the ligh rail when they sang. When their mating was almost done and they they were dying, one landed on my foot when I was sitting on the bus stop flirting with this guy I was dating.

I was wearing flip flops and it took enormous effort to play it cool and not jump out of my skin *giggling*

eeeek bugs!! I'm terrified of them and one of the worse times was when there was a spider IN my bed when I threw off the covers!!

Beautiful pictures. I'm jealous of your frog pond... frogs were one of my favorite things as a child, and I still love them, but don't seem to have as much access to them (or maybe I'm not trying as hard ;)) as I used to.

i really do think that people ARE waiting, what with coming back from expensive summer vacations and buying things to go back to school. at least, that's my positive mantra!!

they will come, they will come, they will they will they will! :)

I hate cicadas, especially the 17 year ones. Sometimes they are so loud I can't even hear myself think.
